2021 MHSAA Region 2 boys skiing team champions: Bloomfield Hills

Bloomfield Hills wins first regional championship since 2014

Bloomfield Hills won a tie-breaker over Rochester Adams to earn its first Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 1, Region 2 Boys Skiing Championship since 2014. Bloomfield Hills won the slalom and was second to Adams in the giant slalom. Both teams finished with 46 total points. Hunter Halstead led the Black Hawks with a runner-up finish in the slalom and a fourth-place finish in the giant slalom. Matthew Coates was third in the slalom and seventh in the giant slalom. Owen Cleary was third in the giant slalom and 11th in the slalom. Henry Baessler finished sixth in the slalom and 15th in the giant slalom. Bode Iuppenlatz took 10th in the giant slalom and 12th in the slalom. Max Scott was 13th in the slalom. The Black Hawks advance to the MHSAA Division 1 Boys Skiing Championships on Feb. 22 at Nub’s Nob in Harbor Springs. Bloomfield Hills finished sixth in last year’s finals.
